The People who Grumbled
The people grumbled against their leader, Moses. They were in the desert, having escaped from captivity in Egypt. God provided for their needs, feeding them with bread from heaven, called manna, and fresh meat in the form of quails, yet they still grumbled. Today’s Old Testament story gives us an opportunity to think about all we have to be thankful for.

Today you will need:
Quiz: paper and a pen
Design a poster: paper, felt pens, glue sticks, age appropriate magazines to cut up or an old catalogue and scissors
Cookery: 350g oats, 150g butter or soft margarine, 2 tablespoons or either golden syrup or honey, 80g brown sugar, 4 small microwavable baking trays or boxes approximate size 14 x 10 cm
Quail Puppets: 1 x kitchen roll middle, blue paint, scraps of black or brown, white and blue paper, or white paper and felt pens to colour, glue stick and scissors, 2 x 5mm craft stick on joggle eyes (optional)

Tomorrow you will need:
Cookery 1: 2 jam jars or clear plastic ½ pint cups, a selection of red, orange, yellow and green salad vegetables
Cookery 2: 1 x mini pot of custard and a banana
DIY Project: After viewing the video decide if you want a family trip to a DIY store/garden centre or create a miniature version from mini garden canes with eye protector toppers, 1 x medium heavy weight plant pot, yoghurt pots, compost, seeds such as mustard, cress, radish, peas, or lettuce
